After you play, the odds calculator and GTO range analyzer are review tools. Take the three hands you were least sure about, reconstruct them, and check what your equity actually was against the range you put your opponent on. This is where the numbers stop being abstract: a call you were sure about often turns out to have been 8% short, and a fold you regretted turns out to have been correct.
In tournaments the ICM calculator sits on top of all of it. Chip equity and money equity diverge sharply near the bubble and at the final table, and a spot that is a clear call for chips can be a clear fold for money. If you play tournaments and use only one tool from this list beyond the odds calculator, make it that one.

ICM (Independent Chip Model) converts a tournament chip stack into its expected share of the prize pool. It matters only in tournaments and sit-and-gos, where chips do not have a fixed cash value. In a cash game a chip is always worth its face value, so ICM does not apply.
The current set is built for No-Limit Texas Hold'em, both cash games and tournaments. Hand rankings and the glossary carry over to other flop games, but the equity, range and ICM tools assume Hold'em hand structure.
